Prep
Run casting and prepare sides
Seed speaking roles, manage candidates and holds, generate sides, and prepare offer terms.
Choose one casting record
CINAMATE has a dedicated Casting room and a separate Casting & Sides pane in Production Office. Their candidate registers do not automatically synchronize. Choose which one is the production’s book of record and keep the other limited to its distinct on-set use.
Seed and curate speaking roles
Choose Seed roles from script to create roles from dialogue cues. Add missing non-speaking or unusual roles with + Add role. Re-seeding preserves manual roles and candidates only for names still found; removed or renamed seeded roles and their candidates can disappear without undo.
Track candidates and holds
Add candidates with contact, self-tape link, status, hold dates, rate, and notes. Status is a label rather than an enforced sequence. Hold conflicts appear when the same candidate has overlapping hold or booked ranges in this board. The check cannot see another production or unentered dates.
Generate and review audition sides
Choose Generate sides, then Copy or Download .txt. Casting includes full scenes in which the role speaks; Production Office includes scenes where the role appears, even without dialogue. Neither redacts other dialogue or action. Read and trim the pages before sending unreleased screenplay material.
Prepare terms and research
The offer memo records entered business points and leaves blanks as TBD. Commit to Money Room records the entered rate as an open commitment, not a computed engagement total. Cast Intelligence sends performer and optional director names to public film-data services when used; its fit and quote bands are shortlist aids, not negotiating positions.
