Use the production tools library
Choose the specialist register or utility that matches the job and export its record before handoff.
Choose the right tool
The Tools room groups nineteen tabs for slate and takes, timecards, offload verification, dailies review, crew and call sheets, hot costs, insurance, rights, finance waterfall, script revisions, story bible, moodboard, lenses, looks and LUTs, captions, credits, festivals, buyers and investors, and press kits. Each tool saves its own current register; confirm the selected tab before entering data.
Handle registers as production records
Many register rows save as you type and delete immediately. Export CSV or the offered document before major cleanup. Timecards calculate planning estimates from the entered times and built-in conventions; they do not replace approved payroll calculations. Hot Costs is a day-level estimate and does not automatically become a Money Room actual.
Verify media and script changes
Offload / MHL computes hashes for locally selected files and exports a CINAMATE verification XML; it is not an ASC MHL interchange file. Use the script revision tool to create and export revision pages, then confirm scene numbers and colored-page policy with production. Keep the original camera cards and checksum report outside the browser.
Edit and convert captions
Captions accepts SRT or WebVTT text and can export either format. Check timing, speaker changes, line length, reading speed, and overlapping cues against the locked picture. Conversion preserves caption content and timing but does not perform transcription or language translation.
Plan lenses and looks carefully
Lens and coverage records help communicate a camera plan. The Look / LUTs tab accepts a .cube LUT for a browser preview; confirm the intended input color space, display transform, and creative intent with the camera and color teams. A browser preview is a reference and does not bake a finishing transform into source media.
Review every exported deliverable
Current outputs include CSV registers, Moodboard PNG, Credit Roll WebM, and Press Kit HTML, plus tool-specific files. Downloading creates a local artifact; it does not send, file, submit, or approve it. Open the result, check text and dates, and hand it to the responsible department through the production’s approved channel.
