Build a cut in Editor

Load Studio renders or local media, assemble picture, and understand which edits ripple.

Choose the full Editor for editorial work

The full Editor is a separate workspace from Studio’s embedded clip editor. Use it for a multi-clip timeline, audio, titles, transitions, export, EDL, and OTIO. Studio remains the source for generated scene clips and per-clip work.

Load the bin

Choose Load Studio clips to link available Studio renders, or Import files to add local video and audio. Local imports are copied into the project’s editor media store when space permits. Keep source media separately and use stable filenames because interchange exports may require relinking.

Understand ripple and fixed timing

Adding, removing, trimming, splitting, or reordering picture clips rebuilds the picture sequence. Video timing ripples. Titles and audio keep their absolute start times, so a picture change can leave them early or late. Review every title, music cue, and sound effect after restructuring picture.

Use Undo and Redo during the session

Undo and Redo cover bounded timeline edit history in the current session. They do not restore deleted bin media and do not survive a reload. Save or export a project backup before a large rebuild or destructive cleanup.

Treat the output as an editorial assembly

The editor is designed for assembly and review. The primary picture export is an 8-bit H.264 Rec.709 deliverable when supported. It is not a color-managed finishing, online conform, audio mix, or mastering system. Preserve the source media and interchange files for professional finishing.
