Use Crew guidance and recover blocked work
Check runtime availability, protect sensitive prompts, and use deterministic rooms when advice is unavailable.
Treat Crew as advice
Crew advisers can explain craft, production, business, and legal-adjacent considerations, but they do not approve a plan or replace a department head, counsel, accountant, safety specialist, or local authority. Verify consequential decisions with the responsible professional.
Read the current availability label
An adviser can answer only when a connected advice runtime is available. If the interface reports that Crew is unavailable, that is the current state; repeated prompts do not establish a connection. Preserve the question and continue with the project records that do not depend on generated advice.
Continue through Mentor and the rooms
Mentor lessons, the phase journey, Workflow blockers, and deterministic production rooms remain useful without a Crew answer. Open the named room, complete its prerequisites, and use the generated checklist, estimate, register, or export as the working record.
Choose prompt material carefully
Ask text and reference-scene frames may be processed by a connected service. Include only material the production is authorized to share, remove personal or confidential details when they are unnecessary, and do not paste credentials, payment data, private contact lists, or unreleased legal documents into an advice prompt.
Recover from empty or stale results
Start with Workflow and read the named missing prerequisite. Confirm the script, schedule, budget, or selected project exists in its source room. Export a Projects backup before clearing or rebuilding data, reload once after a completed save, and re-open the destination room. If a rebuild replaces hand edits, restore from the exported project copy and repeat with the prerequisite corrected.
